I Passed the MFT National Exam! Soon licensed to Practice in Washington (and Beyond) 🎉

After 10 years of being a licensed therapist in California, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news—I passed the MFT National Exam! 🎉 This was one of the most mentally and emotionally demanding tests I’ve ever taken, but I showed up for it fully. And I’m proud to say I crossed the finish line.

Passing this exam marks my full licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist in Washington state, where I currently live. It also opens the door for me to become licensed in other states like Oregon, Utah, and beyond. I am grateful for the opportunity to expand my reach to so many more people across the US.

I’m deeply grateful for all the support I received along the way. From my family and friends, to mentors, and even the AI tool ChatGPT, which helped me study, stay motivated, and stay grounded in my inner wisdom throughout the process.

This isn’t just a professional milestone—it’s a personal victory. A reminder that with compassion, courage, and commitment, we can accomplish even the hardest things.

To celebrate, I’m starting with something simple and sweet—ice cream with my family. And soon, something even more adventurous.

Thanks for being part of the journey. Whether you’re a fellow therapist, a client, or just someone walking your own healing path—I hope this reminds you of your own capacity to overcome and grow.

In compassionate support,
Forest Benedict, LMFT
