Rebelling Into Me (A Poem)

Oh, I’ve lived in a box, all tight and confined,
Performing for others, mind always aligned.
I’d smile, I’d nod, I’d do what you’d say,
Pressed into a shape, day after day.

I molded and twisted, I bent and I curled,
Behaving just right to fit into your world.
I amazed, I impressed, I wore every mask,
But fuck all of that, it’s too much to ask!

I’m done with the show, I’m done with the dance,
I’m shattering chains—I’m giving ME a chance!
No more will I follow your disciplined lines,
No more will I heed your boxed-in confines.

This is rebellion, I’m wild, I’m free,
I’m breaking the mold to just be ME.
No more perfect puppet, no more tamed beast,
I’m calling the shots now, I’m rising unleashed!

I’ll follow my heart, I’ll trust what I feel,
No longer pretending, I’m keeping it real.
No more controlled steps, no more planned ways,
I’ll live in the moment, not counting the days.

I’m fierce, I’m untamed, and I’ll let it show,
I’ll live as I want—on my terms, I’ll grow.
My intuition’s my guide, my soul’s the key,
I’ll be who I want, not who you want me to be.

So watch me now, as I rise and I roar,
Unchained, unstoppable, forever more.
This is my life, and fuck the old scheme—
I’m living in freedom, I’m living my dream!
